Blueprint Hardware is the data fiduciary for personal data processed through blueprinthardware.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with and your rights under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
01What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and profile picture from Google, or your email address if you sign in by email.
- Sign-up details you give us when you join: username, what describes you, your experience and interests, and, only if you choose to add them, your organisation, city, mobile number, whether you want WhatsApp updates and how you heard about us. We use these to tailor your designs and support, and we never sell them.
- Your content: project descriptions, generated designs, comments, and anything you write to engineers or about manufacturing requests.
- Contact details you choose to give us, such as a phone number or delivery city for reviews and manufacturing.
- Billing records: plan, payment status and Razorpay reference numbers. Card, UPI and bank details are collected by Razorpay, never by us.
- Technical data needed to run and secure the service, such as IP address and browser type in server logs.
02Why we use it
We rely on your consent, which you give by creating an account, and on what is necessary to provide a service you asked for. We do not sell personal data or use it for third-party advertising.
- To create your account, generate and store your designs, and provide the features you use.
- To process payments, send receipts and manage subscriptions.
- To connect you with engineers and manufacturers when you ask us to.
- To send service emails such as sign-in links, review updates and quote notifications.
- To prevent abuse and keep the service secure.
03Who we share it with
Every provider processes data only on our instructions. Some providers store data outside India; we use providers with appropriate safeguards.
- Anthropic, to generate designs from your descriptions (project text only).
- Razorpay, to take payments and run subscriptions.
- Our hosting, database and email providers, to run the service.
- Partner engineers, for projects you send for review, and partner manufacturers, for projects you request quotes on, along with the contact details you provide for that request.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
04Public projects
Projects are private until you make them public. Public projects show your display name and public handle and can be viewed and copied by anyone. You can make a project private again at any time.
05How long we keep it
We keep your account data while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your profile, projects and comments within 30 days. We keep payment and invoice records for as long as tax law requires (currently up to 8 years), without your project content.
06Your rights
- See the personal data we hold about you and how it is used.
- Correct or update it: edit your profile and sign-up details on the Account page.
- Delete it: delete your account from the Account page, or email us.
- Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account.
- Nominate someone to exercise these rights for you.
- Complain to our grievance officer, and then to the Data Protection Board of India.
07Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to protect forms. We do not use advertising cookies.
08Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is limited to people who need it, and payment details never touch our servers.
09Children
The service is not directed at children under 18. Younger users may use it only with a parent or guardian, who agrees to these terms for them.
